Gamo Shadow 1000 Review
by Don Ackerson

|
Gamo Shadow 1000 this is a group I shot 11-18-2004 it was shot inside
at a distance of 15 yrds. I wanted to find which hunting round that
the gun shot best without totally having to re-sight the rifle. It
seems to like 7.4 beeman gold hp, CPL hp and Beeman crow mags.
The 1st target is the CPL-hp group and the second target shows three
different pellets The Beeman Cro Mag hp 8.8, CPL-hp, CPWc both 7.9 it
key holed all the pellets shooting slightly to the right.
I find that the Gamo is an exceptional modest price air rifle quite
capable of shooting some tight groups. The Gamo is a good plinker,
informal target gun and a great hunter. I really enjoy this rifle and
it is the rifle I grab when the chance to hit the stix becomes
available. As you can see the gun is pretty accurate and easy to
shoot. It has its favorite but as you can see it shoots multiple
pellets fairly accurate. It shoots the CPH domes high and slightly to
the left.
I find this rifle all I really need, rugged tough and accurate. Its
handsome in a tough macho kinda way sorta like my tactical 308, both
wear the fiberglass stock.
