I think the Gamo Shadow is one of the best guns I own;
with its Composite stock, which makes it very durable not only as a field
target competition riffle, but also as a hunting riffle.
Although the Gamo a break barrel it is still one of the most accurate guns
that I own (compared to a QB-36 & B-32 under cocking lever). I also feel
that the trigger is to long, and the riffle does not come with a trigger
adjustments.
The Gamo comes with the Tru-glow open sights. Which I have found to be
very helpful and tends to be slightly more accurate. However I have put a
Bushnell sport 4-12 power scope with adjustable objective, which has come
in very handy for competitions and hunting as well.
The Gamo also comes with a very nice butt plate, which has the checked
spaces for pellet storage, good for hunting. I have found that the best
pellets the Gamo uses are the JSB’s Exacts Superdomes, they have proven to
be the most accurately shot and hold the best grouping. For proof just
look at the all the jack rabbits I have taken down with it and the many
awards I have gotten in competitions. With practice I could do even
better.
Overall I feel the Gamo is one of the best air guns made that can be
bought at an affordable price.
