I got the idea for this from checking out those "Shatter Blaster" targets
for Airguns at Walmart. I used 1X8 wood and screwed it on both sides of
2X4's. I then screwed 2X4's in between the 1X8 with just enough room for
the clay pigeons to drop in place. There are 9 rows that hold 18 clay
pigeons. I used a hole saw and put a 2.5" hole in each slot. To support
the clay pigeons, I used wire and screws. The wire travels the length of
the gallery, and wraps around a screw on each side of each slot. Then the
wire is shaped like an S to hold the clay target in, yet let the pieces
fall through when shot.
Very fun to shoot at. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 shots to break one
completely out. |
